Monte Routon Owner
Monte Routon, the current owner of American Leak Detection of Greater Sacramento, began working for his father when the office first opened, and also spent his college summers working for other ALD offices in Southern California. As a result, he brings more than 40 years of hands-on experience in leak detection. Combining this expertise with his degree in Business Administration and Management from California State University Long Beach, Monte has spent the last 20 years successfully growing the Sacramento franchise, including through challenging market changes and industry evolution.
The Routon family originally opened this American Leak Detection franchise in 1983 as one of the company’s first locations. The territory covers nine counties in the Greater Sacramento Area, which is home to nearly three million Californians. Since opening, it has been widely regarded as the leading provider of leak detection services and repairs in the region, with its reputation continuing to strengthen over the last 20 years under Monte’s leadership.
