Steven West
Owner / Leak Specialist
Joined ALD in 1998
Steve came to Team Columbus in 1998 after opening and running the American Leak Detection office in Indianapolis, IN. Prior to American Leak Detection he went to college in New Mexico and spent nine years in USAF Special Operations. The varied environments, challenging jobs, and being in the water are what appealed to him and brought him to the leak detection business. He has experience in the pool and spa business going back to 1982 when he installed his first in-ground spa with his friend and Field Operations Manager, Chuck. Through his efforts and those of Team Columbus & his work supporting the franchise system he earned the Franchise of the Year award in 2015. He is married to the lovely Lisa West and they have 2 giant fur kids Aspen and Denver.
Chuck Blanchard
Field Operations Manager/Leak Specialist

Chuck was born and raised in Southern California where he grew to love the outdoors. At 19 he became a Certified Executive Chef, bought and operated a restaurant at 23, and spent a total of 20 years in the restaurant management industry. After a job offer from his high school friend Steve West, he moved to central Ohio in April 2000 and joined Team Columbus. One week after arriving in Columbus, Chuck met his wife and they now have 3 children, 2 girls, 1 boy in the middle....(Yikes!) His hobbies include woodworking, motorcycles, and he still enjoys cooking. His creativity in the kitchen has transferred to leak detection, allowing him to think on the fly in tough situations.
Along with his PADI® SCUBA certification and extensive experience, these traits have enabled him to excel as the Field Operations Manager at American Leak Detection of Columbus. Chuck was honored at the 2010 Convention as Technician of the Year from over 300 territories world-wide for 2009.
Paul Close
Leak Specialist

Paul's experience before American Leak Detection was 10 years working in the paintball industry where he was a certified technician specializing in sales and technical support. He is interested in imported cars, vintage station wagons, movies, paintball, and dominating his 3 boys in Nerf gun battles. When his daughter is old enough she will thrash them all! Paul's work ethic, resourcefulness, customer focus, and his ability to cram himself into tight areas make him a true asset to our customers in the field.

A graduate of THE Ohio State University. Married for 30 years as of 2021 with 2 beautiful daughters, 2 cats and 2 grand dogs. I work part time for a local private gym and a gun store, I love double decker oatmeal cream pies and long walks on the beach. Ryan West

Ryan is a 9 year Air Force veteran who spends most of his time, when he’s not at work, in the gym. He has his pilot’s license and enjoys flying when weather allows and always finds time to head west to snowboard in the winter. He is always looking for a new challenge, activity, or anything that can break up the day to day routine. He’s worked for ALD for over 8 years total but has been a stable fixture since 2015.
Marquita Moore

Marquita aka Sprinkles aka Q started working with American Leak Detection on April fools day of 2019. I met the owner Steven West and his wife Lisa while working for one of his favorite brands Oakley, where he was a regular at my store for many years. Once I got out of retail he hunted me down to come and join his family of misfits. Having many years in the sales and retail management background I’m hoping to help build the business for him and all of us here at American Leak Detection so we can assist more clients in finding and fixing their leaks. I’ve recently had a beautiful baby girl who is just the light of my life. I enjoy concerts, painting, traveling, outdoor excursions and working on my home.
Anna-Laura DeCoito

Anna- Laura aka AL- as we call her in the office came to us with 20+ years of customer service experience both in the office and in the field. Her previous field work was as a certified chimney sweep which provided a unique perspective from the technician and office sides of things. When she’s not helping keep the ALD machine oiled, Al enjoys live music, plays, comedy clubs and playing with her doggies. She is a sucker for a good book and loves traveling with her husband and children.
Rich Gould

Rich came to ALD after years of general maintenance experience. He was looking for something different and found his calling with repairs here at ALD. Rich is married with a newborn baby girl, he loves to spend his off time fishing, hunting, shooting, and kayaking, anything outdoors. He’s proved to be a valuable addition to our crazy family!
Tim Fast

Growing up, Tim worked alongside his dad who was a general contractor, learning all aspects of residential construction. He then spent over 20 years working in inbound call centers, primarily in the financial services industry. There he gained a passion for customer service that fits right in with what we're all about here at ALD. Having been with our team for over a year, he has proven to be tough & competent, and has become an invaluable member of our repair crew. He enjoys the outdoors, and is a huge fan of the Buckeyes and Blue Jackets. Tim is active in his church, and lives with his wife and 2 teenage sons in Worthington.
Scott Broadright

Hi, I’m Scott. I’m a pool technician apprentice during the week “days” and a night club DJ on the weekends. My hobbies include making music, Japanese cars, and animals. I’m a certified diver and first responder so helping others is the highlight of my day. If you have dogs I would love to meet them! (I carry treats). I look forward to meeting you and finding your leaks!

Hi, I’m Joe aka Stash, I’m a repair technician apprentice. The things I enjoy the most are classic muscle cars, old movies, and all types of music! When I’m not at work I’m always enjoying anything outdoors. I love making people smile and laugh whenever I can! I always like to test my skills to the best of my ability and give my 110% to any job! I love this job and I’m excited to see what the future holds for me here.

Hi! I’m Cassie! I am new to the American Leak Detection Family. I have 2 awesome boys, Carter & Rush. Most of my free time is consumed by my boy’s wrestling, baseball or football. If I get my own free time I like to read, watch anything True Crime, travel and attend concerts & music festivals. I have 15+ years of customer service experience so I look forward to speaking with you and getting you on the right path with your leaks?
